Garen (Top)
For our beginner-friendly pick for the top lane, Garen is the best choice. Garen is naturally a tanky champion, which should make surviving easier for new players. His passive ability allows him to regenerate health out of combat, and his W helps stack bonus armor and magic resistance—a big advantage when it comes to surviving in the lane.
He also has a wave-clearing ability that can be used to farm and push lanes. Finally, his ultimate deals massive true damage and additional damage based on the target’s missing health—a perfect ability to finish off any enemy.
Warwick (Jungle)
For jungling, I suggest picking Warwick. Dropping down to low HP and going back to base for healing is one of the major problems for new jungle players, and Warwick is the perfect solution. His passive allows him to heal whenever he is below 50% HP and heal even more if he’s below 25%.
His Q deals damage based on max HP, which is perfect to use on tanky neutrals. He has a great ability for ganks, another great ability that provides him damage reduction, and finally, an ultimate that disables the enemy for 1.5 seconds—making Warwick one of the best junglers and gankers.
Veigar (Mid)
Compared to the rest of the champions on this list, Veigar might be a little more difficult to master, but his kit is pretty easy to understand. A good Veigar player can become unstoppable because a couple of his spells, including his passive, are aimed at increasing his AP.
Veigar’s Q is a solid last-hitting spell that also increases his AP. His W is a good damage-dealing spell that’s also great for wave-clearing. His E is an easy-to-use crowd control ability, and his ultimate is one of the highest damage-dealing spells in the game. If you’ve farmed and gathered enough AP, you can one-shot a lot of squishy champions.
No matter which champion you use and how well you play, if you’re stuck in the lower ranks, you’re going to have bad games. But here’s a solution: check out League of Legends boosting to get your account boosted to your desired rank—for the cheapest prices ever.
Caitlyn (ADC)
Since ADCs lack high HP and are generally squishy, you need to take advantage of their ranged attacks and fight from a safe distance to stay alive. Caitlyn has a great base attack range, and her passive deals bonus damage with bonus range on enemies affected by her W and E.
Caitlyn’s Q can be used to last-hit or harass the enemy. Her W lets her place traps that stun enemies for 1.5 seconds. She has a slow/escape ability (E), and her ultimate is a massive single-target nuke that has a huge range. Make sure to place your traps in the brush and other common spots to get better lane control.
Maokai (Support)
Last on our list of beginner-friendly LoL champions is Maokai, for the support role. Maokai is a tanky support and has one of the lowest learning difficulties in the game—any new player can easily pick him up and make an impact.
As a support player, your main task is to help your ADC, and Maokai’s kit makes that super easy. He can knock back, slow, and even root enemies, which is perfect for setting up a kill. His best ability is “Sapling Toss,” which works like mini-wards to keep you and your teammates safe from ganks. Finally, he has a massive crowd-control ultimate that’s super useful during team fights.
That’s it—those are my beginner-friendly champion picks for every role in League of Legends. If it’s your first time playing a new role, pick the champion I suggested, and you’ll have a smooth learning experience.
